What’s better than hearing Andrea Bocelli sing? Hearing him sing with his son, Matteo. I was catching up on some Late Show recordings when I saw they were going to do a duet together. OMG, after replaying their duet, “Fall on Me,” about ten times, I’m officially in Bocelli heaven.
On their YouTube video, Andrea Bocelli makes the song even more poignant with his words:
“Anyone who is a parent, anyone who knows the precious responsibility of being a mother or a father, will fully grasp the meaning of this piece. ‘Fall On Me’ is the first time I have duetted with my son Matteo Bocelli.”
Released in late September, the video already has 23 million views. However, I like the live performance on Colbert better because I enjoy seeing the full orchestra perform. Click this link if the video doesn’t show below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScLMat7DRqM
The words to the chorus are beautiful.
Fall on me
With open arms
Fall on me
From where you are
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light
“Fall on Me” is also on the soundtrack for Disney’s new movie “Nutcracker and the Four Realms.”
